Punta Cana Carnival

Our foundation has prioritized the celebration of Dominican culture in the Punta Cana destination. Since 2008, we have celebrated this colorful Dominican festivity for the delight and enjoyment of the community and tourists visiting the region.

Punta Cana Carnival welcomes each year more than a dozen parade groups that represent different regions of the country and some countries in the region. Since its launch, this celebration has become one of the most beautiful, majestic, and well-organized carnival references in the country.

Rey Momo

The King of Carnival, also popularly called "Rey Momo", is the one who opens the parade of groups. "Rey Momo" is the most anticipated surprise of the festival, since this distinction is awarded to prominent and influential national figures who inspire Dominican society with their work, and it is not revealed until the day of the parade.

Los Tres Caras

Los Tres Caras is an emblematic costume that captures the essence and spirit of carnival. With its unique and colorful design, Los Tres Caras not only offer a visual feast, but also symbolize the cultural diversity and joy that define our celebration.

Each aspect of the costume reflects different moods and perspectives, making Los Tres Caras a multifaceted and fascinating figure. In addition to their visual impact, they play the important role of protectors in the parade groups, accompanying the iconic Muses of Punta Cana.

The Muses

The Muses of Punta Cana are the carnival's traditional parade group, formed by prominent ladies of the community. Their costumes are unique, inspired by emblematic elements of Punta Cana such as the sun, the sea, and nature, always with a touch of fantasy. Initially composed of only five members, today it includes 25 women, accompanied by the Puntacana International School parade group and Los Tres Caras, who act as their protectors.

Christmas Carol Gala

Each year, Fundación Puntacana celebrates The Grand Christmas Carol Gala, a beautiful tradition that, with great joy and under the splendid setting of the Basilica of Higüey, marks the beginning of the Christmas season for the eastern region of the country. Thousands of people enjoy a magical night, thanks to the performance of our National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the renowned maestro José Antonio Molina.

Christmas Bazaar

The Puntacana Village Christmas bazaar recreates the true essence of Christmas with an unparalleled atmosphere, filled with music and entertainment for the community and visiting foreigners. This space is part of the Foundation's efforts to promote new opportunities for recreation, family integration, and the promotion of local entrepreneurship and commercial proposals in the area.

Punta Cana Poetry Recital

The Punta Cana Poetry Recital, sponsored by Fundación Puntacana and Café de Artistas, has been held since 2015 and is one of the most outstanding cultural events in the Punta Cana area. Each year it features the participation of distinguished guest poets and students from Ann & Ted Kheel Technical School and Puntacana International School, who delight the public with their literary compositions. This event also includes creative writing workshops at those educational centers.
