Sustainability Center

The Sustainability Center of Fundación Puntacana is the heart of our environmental initiatives, dedicated to conservation, research, and education for sustainable development. Here we implement innovative projects that protect the region's biodiversity, such as reforestation of coastal ecosystems, coral reef restoration, and the conservation of endangered species, such as Ridgway's hawk and the rhinoceros iguana. We also promote sustainable practices through waste-management programs, renewable energy, and environmental education. The center is also home to Yauya, our store of eco-friendly and artisanal products, where we support local producers and foster responsible consumption aligned with our commitment to sustainability.

Birdwatching Tour

Enjoy a guided tour where you can appreciate endemic and native birds of the Punta Cana region and other migratory species. Along the way you will cross the Hawk Trail (Sendero del Gavilán) to our birdwatching tower.

You will see birds in their natural habitat, including our Ridgway's hawk. All tours are included for guests of The Westin, Four Points, Tortuga Bay hotels, and Puntacana Resort owners.

Yauya

Yauya is Fundación Puntacana's eco-store, created to promote fair trade, responsible consumption, and sustainable production in the region. Here you will find a carefully curated selection of artisanal, organic, and locally sourced products, including fresh foods, personal care items, crafts, and unique souvenirs. As part of its commitment to community development, Yauya is also the creator and promoter of the Punta Cana Farmers Market, a space where local producers can offer their fresh and sustainable products directly to residents and tourists.
