Fundacion Grupo Puntacana has been a pioneering non-profit organization in the Dominican Republic, leading several sustainable development initiatives in the eastern region of the country. Recognizing that the main assets of Caribbean tourism are its nature and its people, the foundation's mission is to protect and preserve the natural resources of the Punta Cana region and create opportunities for the area's inhabitants, improving the well-being of local communities.

Fundacion Grupo Puntacana collaborates with dozens of strategic partners from the private, public, and civil society sectors to address social and environmental challenges. Education, health, coral reef restoration, endangered species conservation, community entrepreneurship, cultural preservation, solid waste management and ecotourism are some of the foundation's main focuses.

Fundacion Grupo Puntacana has received numerous international awards for its innovations and commitment to sustainable tourism, including awards from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), Conde Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure and National Geographic Traveler.
