The PUNTACANA International School was founded in 2000 and provides bi-lingual (English-Spanish) education for over 400 children of Grupo PUNTACANA employees and other residents of the Punta Cana region from pre-school to 12th grade. Children of Grupo PUNTACANA employees pay a scaled tuition based on their parents’ earnings, creating a diverse socio-economic setting where the children of executives and managers learn side by side with children of line employees and gardeners, a situation that is entirely uncommon in the Dominican Republic. PCIS is also represented by over 20 nationalities, creating a vibrant multicultural learning environment.

PCIS is in the process of obtaining accreditation from The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the International Council of Schools (ICS). Programs at the school include Junior Achievement, International Conference of the Americas and the Model UN.
