HOW CAN I BOOK A TOUR?

Reservations: Westin, Four Points, and Tortuga Bay hotel guests must book through Guest Service. Owners at the Owners Concierge offices.

Reservations must be via email at least 24 hours in advance. This includes guided tours of 10+ people and student groups

Holidays there are no tours.

THE INDIGENOUS EYES ECOLOGICAL PARK RESERVE

WHERE IS THE INDIGENOUS EYES ECOLOGICAL PARK RESERVE LOCATED??

The Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve is located within the Puntacana Resort & Club, Punta Cana, República Dominicana.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

We have two time slots for the tour: the first one is at 9:30am, and the second one is at 2:00pm.
Each time slot has a duration of approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.

WHAT IS THE ENTRY COST?

Cost: $50 USD p/p for the general public.
Free of charge for guests of the Westin, Four Points, Tortuga Bay hotels and Puntacana Resort & Club homeowners. Fees may apply for their guests.

WHERE SHOULD I PAY TO ENTER THE RESERVE?

The tickets for external visitors and guests of our hotels (Four Points, Westin) can be purchased through our online booking system.

At the Visitor Center of Puntacana Resort & Club, we also have a QR code available for making tour reservations.

DO I NEED TO RESERVE TO ENTER THE RESERVATION?

Yes, it is necessary to have a reservation to take the tour.

DO I NEED SUN PROTECTOR AND / OR REPELLENT IN THE RESERVATION?

All trails are shaded. We recommend the use of ecological repellants for mosquitoes. To preserve the quality of the water in the lagoons and the local flora and fauna, we suggest not using sunscreen or only using protectors that are 100% BIODEGRADABLE and ORGANIC, so that they do not pollute the environment. You can purchase eco-friendly products at the Grupo Puntacana Foundation Sustainability Center store. If you are allergic to bees / wasps, we recommend bringing Epinephrine or its equivalent

DO I NEED WALKING BOOTS TO VISIT THE ECOLOGICAL RESERVE?

No. Comfortable shoes are sufficient. The reserve has several kilometers of trails and a visit to the springs involves a walk of approximately 40 minutes.

ARE THERE RESTROOMS IN THE ECOLOGICAL RESERVE?

No. In the Grupo Puntacana Foundation's Sustainability Center there are public toilets. Please plan your visit to the reserve accordingly.

Volunteer Programs and Job Applications

DOES THE GRUPO PUNTACANA FOUNDATION OFFER OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOLUNTEERS?

DOES THE FOUNDATION PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION, ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD FOR VOLUNTEERS?

Volunteering does not include transportation or accommodation. For some social programs, the foundation offers transportation, subject to prior coordination. Likewise, food is coordinated in special cases when volunteer activities require it.

DOES THE FOUNDATION PAY VOLUNTEERS FOR PROVIDING SUPPORT TO THE GRUPO PUNTACANA FOUNDATION PROGRAMS?

No. The service is voluntary, without remuneration from the Foundation. Paid internships are on limited basis through a competitive application process and apply only to certain specific programs.

I AM NOT OF AGE; CAN I COLLABORATE AS A VOLUNTEER?

Yes. The Foundation has environmental and social programs for minors. It is essential to fill out a discharge signed by your parents or guardian.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE A SPECIFIC TRAINING TO BE A VOLUNTEER?

No. Just the enthusiasm to do your best. For some specific projects such as coral restoration and some related to social work if there are requirements and there may be minimum requirements.

IS THERE A MINIMUM TIME COMMITMENT?

Yes. For environmental projects there must be a minimum commitment of four hours per day, twice a week. Exceptions apply only in specific cases, according to degree of experience and depending on the program. For social projects the minimum is one week and no less than four hours / day.

WHAT HOURS DO THE VOLUNTEER OPTIONS HAVE?

From 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

DOES THE GRUPO PUNTACANA FOUNDATION OFFER ANY KIND OF VALIDATION OF VOLUNTEER TIME?

Yes. The Foundation can offer letters that certify the hours completed or certificates of participation for those programs that merit it.
