The Grupo Puntacana Foundation has prioritized the celebration of Dominican culture within the Punta Cana destination and sharing its unique heritage with the visitors region. Beginning in 2008, the Foundation launched Punta Cana Carnival in celebration of this unique Dominican festivity. The Punta Cana Carnival invites over a dozen different groups representing different regions of the country to share their costumes and traditions in what has become one of the largest Carnival celebrations in the country.
Other efforts include the construction of a small art gallery located within the Puntacana Village. The Art Gallery provides a space for local and internationally accredited artists to exhibit their work to residents, local and foreign visitors.
Every year is celebrated a beautiful tradition, the Grand Gala of Christmas Carols, which with great joy and under the splendid setting of the Basilica of Higüey, marks the beginning of the Christmas season for the Eastern region of the country. Thousands of people enjoy a magical night, thanks to the performance of our National Symphony Orchestra, led by the famous Maestro Jose Antonio Molina.
Fundacion Eduardo Leon Jimenez, the Eduardo Leon Jimenes Cultural Center and our foundation agreed to join efforts for the design and implementation of cultural and environmental projects through the cultural center of Punta Cana. This alliance will promote social development actions related to art and culture for the community of Punta Cana.
The Puntacana Village Christmas Bazaar brings you the true essence of Christmas with wonderful environment with music and entertainment. Our bazaar is celebrated each year the first Saturday of December.
